The Atomos Shogun Inferno is a high quality and robust 7-inch field monitor. It is equipped with an integrated 4K video recording recorder. In addition, it is equipped with a 10-bit FRC panel with support for native HDR (log) footage. This will ensure watching Rec. 709 footage with a high-quality brightness.

In contrast to the Shogun Flame the Inferno has four 3G-SDI inputs. The monitor even supports DCI 4K RAW video via SDI when used with select Sony and Canon video cameras. These are stored as ProRes or DNxHD files.

The monitor features a loop-out and playback connection for 4K UHD down-scaling and HD monitoring of the video signal. Additionally, it features an HDMI and 12G-SDI input with support for recording uncompressed video signals up to 4K UHD. Everything is stored on an optional 2.5 inch SSD or HDD by using 10-bit 4: 2: 2 Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHR codecs.
