Conditions for individual and student discounts
Please read and accept the following terms and conditions in order to apply for the discount above the normal prices.
Before order
The order must be created through the Biofilms website or at least communicated by email in the form of a link to the biofilms.cz shopping cart.

Insurance of the equipment is a condition for the realization of the rental.
Most schools offer insurance coverage for student shoots. Insurance can also be arranged through Biofilms as part of the online order or additionally on pick up - insurance must be added no later than at the moment of pick up. The insurance is not a subject to discount applied for the rental, however, students have a special rate with Biofilms set by the insurance company.
Order changes
If a discount of more than 60% of the total price excluding discounts is agreed, Biofilms reserves the option to exchange the ordered equipment for a suitable alternative in case it is needed for a full commercial use. The changes will be done at least 48 hours in advance, always after the consultation with the customer.
This situation happens in exceptional cases in about 1 out of 10 orders and usually only with busy lens sets or cameras. However, we will contact you at least 48 hours in advance and always arrange a suitable alternative with the given component - camera, sound, lights.
Major changes to the order can be made up to 24 hours before pick up time.

If an order is cancelled or rescheduled to other dates less than 24 hours in advance, a cancellation fee will apply.
The fee is 50-100% of the first day's order price (depending on availability of blocked items, customer history and order size). In the event of receiving a text message to pick up an order, the fee is always 100% of the first day price of the order in the event of cancellation or rescheduling, no exceptions.
The order must include necessary contacts with the correct phone number and email contact details - especially AC, 2nd AC, sound engineer, lighting engineer etc.
Direct communication will facilitate the process of picking up, returning, handling unreturned equipment and possibly resolving issues with the equipment and complaints.
Order pickup / collection
The equipment must be picked up and returned during working hours between 9AM and 7PM, minding that it is essential to check and go through the equipment in advance as well as returning in case it needs to be disassembled at the rental store.
From about 5PM onwards there is peak traffic until closing, with a lot of customers coming in, so it is more difficult to attend to students. Therefore we ask you to come at the designated time, according to prior arrangement. Please note, that a professional check and assembly of the equipment in case of a full package can take up to half a day.
If additional accessories beyond the agreed amount are added when picking up, we take it for granted that it is agreed on and the billing contact/production is aware of the extra costs.
So please remember to make arrangements with the production in advance. If the production refuses to pay the extra costs, the difference will be invoiced to the client.
During Order
The rented equipment can only be operated and manipulated with by persons with the appropriate knowledge.
We will be happy to advise you while picking up the equipment. In case of suspected damage, obvious damage or reduction of sevice life of the rented equipment by unprofessional handling, the standard price for diagnostics service, the service itself and the repair of the equipment to restore it to its original condition will be charged. (Please note that the deductible with insurance is often set most often at 1000-10.000CZK, which is the amount that the customer first pays from his own and only if this is exceeded, the insurance company pays the rest exceeding the given deductible)
In case the rented equipment appears to be non-functional during use, the customer is obliged to report the defect by phone to Biofilms without delay and consult a possible solution. Online contacts can be found at biofilms.cz/contact. If all online contacts are unavailable, please send us at least an SMS or e-mail and we will get back to you immediately. In the event that the equipment is confirmed to be non-functional we at Bilofilms are able to arrange a replacement immediately in the vast majority of cases.
Thanks to FaceTime and WhatsApp, we have experience that up to 90% of complaints and reported malfunctions are due to limitations of the device’s functions or customer’s knowledge of rented equipment. In case of reporting malfunctioning technology on return or a significant time lag, the complaint itself is disregarded until the moment of reporting. In the case of replacement of the equipment and failure to prove the defect, the customer is obliged to pay the delivery cost.
The discount is only valid if the agreed number of days and volume of equipment are met.
In the event of a change in the order affecting the price of the rental by more than 20%, the original quote is void and a new agreement has to be made.
Order return
The equipment must be returned in the same condition as on pick up - i.e. disposed of and spread out in the cases, clean and dry.
In the case of returning the equipment dirty or outside of the standard set-up in suitcases, a fee will be charged as for standard customers - minimum of 1000CZK/hour of technician’s work.
