The Dog Schidt Optics Trump primes pay tribute to the vastly underrated glass makers of the pre-1980's Soviet Union, creating striking and distinctive in-camera looks, impossible to replicate with any other lens. They are assembled using hand-selected matched optical elements from historic Soviet lenses and combined with a unique swappable rear-element and aperture ring system. The Trumps provide a highly desirable 'old-glass' quality, and they enable cinematographers to create truly unique looks with the organic feel of in-camera optics. One of the most interesting features of the Trumps is the ability to insert one of 30+ supplied aperture rings behind the rear element, providing subtle and not-so-subtle bokeh effects - oval defocus, parallax distortion, star bokeh, etc.

These lenses have been developed to add extra flare, coloured tints, added raw aesthetic characteristics and even custom shaped bokeh(defocus) to your pictures and movies!
